Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to say a quick hello to you folks on the message board. I am Matt from Macon, GA and a huge Carpenters fan. Reading some of your posts, I'll go ahead and say that I'm not nearly as knowledgeable about the Carpenters as a lot of you, but I'm still learning.

Being only 3 when Karen died, the Carpenters were just a hair before my time, but have always appreciated their music. Then in February of 09, I had my first child, a little girl. Shortly after her birth, I had heard "Top of the World"on the radio and it reminded me so much of my new little girl. After that, I guess you could say that I became a Carpenters..."nut?"

For the last year, I have purchased almost their entire music catalog, read as much as I could about them, and started purchasing quite a bit of Carpenters memorabilia. In fact, just last week, I received my very first album signed by both Richard and Karen.

I love reading all of the discussions that you have on here and hope you don't mind if I contribute from time to time. Take care everyone!

Welcome aboard Matt. You'll find some of the most knowledgable Carpenters fans hang around here. So feel free to ask anything that you'd like. There are many compilations, videos, etc., out there, and it helps to have "experts" sort it all out for you.

particularly when it comes to bootlegs. this forum saved me hundreds last week.

It's always good to know that Carpenters fans are even now on the increase. At the time of Karen's 60 th birthday, how proud would she be of that!

I haven't posted much on here lately but always keep an eye out for new posts. Long may this great place go on.
