Most likely its because the song is rather monotonous, particularly in the later verses - also, with the BMB version being an instrumental, the "charm" of the lyrics are lost. I'm happy they did it the way they did it.

Also, when you think about it, there are only 6 verses of the song that mention animals. You have to include the "five golden rings" which is about the only chorus the song has...

Well, now let's watch w/ the " ", here, shall we????!!!! Sorry, I thought read something, perhaps on the old board when this topic was brought up and I just thought that something "copywritten" had to do w/ this song abbreviated...
Maybe, I really read something similar to what was said here, then... I guess I AM delusional, or I only forgot...!
